Wreath Making Workshop
Sunday the 15th of December 1pm to 3pm
To celebrate the turning of the year we'll weave a willow wreath from willow grown at Abundant Earth, and decorate it with ribbons and greenery. All materials are provided. Do feel free to bring along any other decorations or greenery from your garden or beyond, such as feathers, dried flowers, shells or anything that inspires you.
The word wreath comes from the word to twist, and for me, the circle represents the cycle of life in the natural world, all living things die and return to the earth where new life is born. We will decorate the wreaths with holly and ivy and other greenery, symbolising the hopes of new life returning.
I love to add extras such as feathers, dried flowers, pine cones, you can also add pompoms, or anything that personalises your wreath, bring whatever you would like to create your own.
